About Stokes Landscaping

March on the causeway is the island's in-between month: phragmites still tan and rattling over the marsh, water the color of pewter, and a wind that can't decide which season it belongs to. Stokes Landscaping works both sides of that line — the last snow off drives and walks when a cold system swings through, then the first mow of the year as soon as the ground firms up. Ocean City greens fast once it commits, and staying ahead of it means weekly cutting, trimming and edging right through to the leaf drop. The best part is that first proper cut of spring, when a yard that spent months looking flat and gray stands up again with its lines back. From there it's rhythm until the cold returns.
