Lawn Things is a plain name for a plain and useful set of jobs: the grass gets cut, the edges get cut, the walk gets blown clean, and the yard looks like somebody was there. Out on the sandy streets of Ocean Acres, where pitch pine and lawn meet at an untidy seam, that trimmed line is most of the effect. Summer means keeping the routine; late autumn means getting the leaves off before they pack down over the turf. Nothing complicated — just the ordinary chores done on time and done all the way to the corners. Ocean Acres, Mayetta, Cedar Run and the neighboring streets all fall inside the route.
