Steve Petersen's Lawn & Tree

About Steve Petersen's Lawn & Tree

Trinity Street's old sugar maples throw shade most of the day, and grass growing under them needs a lighter touch than the lawns out in the open. Steve Petersen's Lawn & Tree mows those yards with that in mind — a taller cut where the light is thin, careful trimming around trunks and surface roots, edging walks so the line stays honest. October in Newton buries the sidewalks, and clearing the leaf off before it mats down through the wet weeks is its own reward. Spring brings the counterpart: winter debris off, turf tidied, the season started clean. Old shade over well-kept ground suits this town about as well as anything can.
