About Jhonny's Landscaping LLC

For a few weeks each April, Branch Brook Park turns the north end of Newark pink, and the whole city seems to remember it is made of growing things. Jhonny's Landscaping LLC works the blocks around that bloom and well beyond it, mowing and edging the small front lawns and deep back yards that hold Newark's green in trust. Summer arrives heavy and humid off the bay, so the grass asks for a steady hand; autumn arrives all at once, and the leaves come down in one long week. When those same streets go white, the crew is out with plow and salt before the first commuter reaches the corner. It is unglamorous work — a straight cut line, a driveway opened down to the pavement — and it is exactly the kind of work a Newark block notices.
