Garcia Grass and Junk

About Garcia Grass and Junk

Saturday morning is the good hour on a block: bicycles out early, sprinklers ticking, neighbors carrying coffee out to the porch, the street just waking up. Garcia Grass and Junk cuts the yards on Newark blocks — mowing, edging along the walks, trimming fence lines, and carrying the cuttings and yard debris away entirely. Where lots sit close together, a sharp border is visible to the whole street, and that is a good kind of pressure. Afternoon weather can turn, which means the work starts while the air is still cool and the shade still stretches across the pavement. By lunchtime the block looks the way a neighborhood ought to look.
