About Reeds Weeds

Summer in New Egypt slows down at Oakford Lake, where the water sits still under the trees and Main Street is a short walk away. Reeds Weeds handles the lawns around it — weekly mowing, edging along the old sidewalks, trimming the corners near porch steps and lamp posts. Beds are weeded down to bare soil so the plantings have room to actually show themselves. The name is a joke that happens to describe the job honestly. What stays with people is the finished look: a straight edge, a level cut, and nothing left behind on the walk.
