Saturday morning on the cul-de-sacs east of town is all mower engines and sprinklers and somebody's radio, and by noon the whole street looks combed. The Lawn Rangers ride that route with mowing, edging, trimming, hedge shaping, mulch and cleanups in spring and fall. Laying stripes that run true across a wide open front yard is a small showpiece, and it is earned entirely on the straightness of the first pass. Blowers finish the walks afterward so not one clipping is left where it doesn't belong. Out of New Brunswick the work reaches North Brunswick, East Brunswick, Milltown and Highland Park.
