By the middle of October the London planes and maples along the borough's side streets start letting go, and Neptune City yards vanish under a week's worth of leaves. Curcio and Sons, LLC works straight through it, mowing while the grass still grows, pulling leaves off lawns and beds, and holding the edges defined as the season winds down. There is a rhythm to an autumn route: truck at the curb, blowers, rakes, then the clean lawn opening back up behind you. A yard taken down to the grass in November comes back better when the ground warms. The trucks return in April and the whole circuit begins again.
