About Burbank Landscaping

A nor'easter finds Navesink early: the wind comes up the river off the bay and the first wet flakes are sticking to the ridge before they ever reach the water below. Burbank Landscaping plows and shovels the hillside driveways here, the steep ones that tip down toward the Navesink and glaze over by morning, and salts the walkways so nobody has to guess where the ice is. In the green months the same hills get mowed and trimmed, the turf thick from all that river damp. There is real pride in a drive opened at five in the morning — blacktop steaming, the slope silent, the day made possible for whoever lives there. January or July, it is the same round of houses, tended.
