Outdoor Digs

About Outdoor Digs

Some January mornings in Morristown the air is so still and cold that it rings, and the snow squeaks underfoot before the sun is up. Outdoor Digs is out in that — plowing driveways and lots from the in-town blocks to the flats out toward Cedar Knolls, shoveling walks and entries, spreading salt where the melt would otherwise turn to glass by evening. Six months later the same crew is mowing, edging and trimming those very properties while the grass runs ahead of every rainstorm. Fall means cleanups and leaves; spring means beds opened and mulch laid down. Two entirely different kinds of morning, one town, and the same idea underneath both — the place should be ready before anyone needs it.
