About Steeplechase

East of Monroe the land opens toward horse country, white fences and paddocks running out past Millstone and Englishtown, and that wide, well-kept look is worth borrowing. Steeplechase brings it home to lawns here — mowing on a dependable turn, trimming tight to posts and beds, edging drives so the line reads clean all the way from the street. Autumn brings the cleanups; then the cold arrives and the same attention goes into plowing, opening walks, and salting the places that glaze over first. The weather in this township does not negotiate, and the only answer is being there for it. A place kept well looks effortless, which is the entire trick.
