About Collins Landcare

The low ground near Matchaponix Brook holds water long after a rain, and grass there grows on its own terms — soft in the shade of the old oaks, thin where the sun never quite reaches. Collins Landcare works with what a Monroe Township yard actually is: mowing at the height the season calls for, edging the walks, feeding and overseeding in September when the nights cool and new seed will take. Cleanups in spring and again in fall, mulch refreshed in the beds, the leaves lifted before they mat down and smother anything over winter. It's patient work and it shows up slowly — a bare corner filling in, a lawn holding green a few weeks longer than it used to. That's the reward here: a place that looks better each year rather than tidy for a single afternoon.
