The Maurice River rises and falls through Millville twice a day with the tide, brackish and unhurried, and in April the green along its banks shows up about a week before anyone expects it. Dylan's Hardscaping and Landscaping starts the Millville lawn season right about then — the first cut of the year, trimming back what winter flattened, hauling off the spring cleanup so a yard can begin fresh. From there it settles into a weekly rhythm of mowing and edging that runs straight through to the last warm week of October. Grass on this coastal plain wants attention more than it wants rescue.
