Millstone Township keeps its distance from everything — hay fields, horse fence, long county roads with no streetlights and nobody else out at four in the morning. Riverview Landscapes runs those roads in winter, plowing driveways that go a few hundred feet before they reach a house, opening walks, and salting where the wind has scoured a lane down to ice. Out here a storm is a bigger commitment: more ground per stop, farther between them, and drifting that keeps going long after the sky clears. The work ends the way it should — a black driveway line drawn across a white field, and a farm road passable by sunup. Monmouth County winters do not come often, but when they come they mean it.
