Hufnagel Tree Service

About Hufnagel Tree Service

From the high ground over the Navesink you can see the whole shape of Middletown's autumn — beech going gold in the hollows, hollies staying dark, the river flat and bright below. Hufnagel Tree Service works those bluffs and the long lots off Kings Highway, where old oaks stand over houses that were here to watch them grow. Pruning is done with restraint, because a tree with that much presence should not look like it has been to the barber. Trimming clears chimneys, roofs and the drives that wind in from the road, and removal is held back for what has gone hollow or hazardous. After a coastal storm, the work ends with the limbs hauled out and the lane under the hollies open again.
