East of town the road runs out over the back bay on the way to Stone Harbor, marsh on both sides, and the tide decides how wide the world looks that morning. Harbor View Landscaping works both halves of the year on the neighborhoods facing that water. Warm months mean mowing, edging, trimming and bed cleanups, the grass cut against a wind that carries the meadow smell inland all afternoon. Cold months mean plowing, shoveling and salting, drives opened early because a bayside freeze glazes everything smooth and does it fast. The pleasure is the same in either direction — pulling up to a place that needs sorting out and leaving it squared away, hedge line to curb.
