Zoe’s Tree Service

About Zoe’s Tree Service

On a July evening the breeze comes up Matawan Creek off the bay and moves through the big trees along Lake Lefferts before it ever reaches a porch. Zoe's Tree Service works the older streets where the houses came first and the maples grew up around them, close to the eaves and closer still to the wires. Trimming makes room without making a tree look cut, and pruning protects the shape somebody has been watching out the kitchen window for a long time. Removal is for hazards — the hollow trunk, the split crotch, the leaner over the porch — taken apart piece by piece in a yard the size of a living room. When a storm has had its say, the branches go and the place looks the way it did the morning before.
