Manasquan asks two very different things of a crew. In July it is heat rising off the pavement on Union Avenue and grass that has to be mowed and trimmed weekly to hold its color in sandy ground; in January it is ice welded to a driveway apron at six in the morning with the wind coming straight off the inlet. Extreme Green Landscape + Design LLC takes both halves, with mowing, edging, bed work and cleanups in the warm months, then plowing, shoveling and salting when the shore gets its share of a storm. Neither job forgives a shortcut, and neither is finished until the lines are straight and the pavement is bare. Manasquan first, then Brielle, Wall Township, Sea Girt and Spring Lake.
