About Pine Hill Tree Services LLC

Mahwah climbs — from the Ramapo River flats up into the mountain the town takes its shape from, and the higher you go the more the yards turn into woods with a house set inside them. Pine Hill Tree Services LLC works that grade, where oaks and hemlocks stand on thin soil over rock and a removal has to be planned around slope as much as around the roofline. Trimming pulls the woods back off the eaves and the driveway; pruning keeps the ornamentals by the front door in scale with the giants behind them. Ice is the real test up against the New York line — it loads a crown until something has to give — so storm damage cleanup here often begins before the melt. You know the job is done when the mountain driveway is open at dawn and the lawn has no ruts in it.
