About Cuts Plus Landscaping & Excavating

The South Branch of the Raritan runs low and bright under Long Valley in June, and the hayfields above it come up green faster than anyone can keep pace with. Cuts Plus Landscaping & Excavating keeps pace anyway, with mowing, edging, trimming, mulch and the cleanups that bracket a Morris County year at both ends. There is a particular pleasure in cutting a lawn across a slope so the stripes follow the land instead of fighting it, and that is the work here. Valley ground is stone-shot and stubborn, so a lawn that looks easy along Fairview Avenue got that way on purpose. By evening the light comes sideways off the ridge and every fresh edge shows.
