Meyersville is still a crossroads with a couple of old buildings and a great deal of sky, and in May that corner of the township smells like cut grass and lilac at the same time. Mancini's Landscape Associates works the yards around it — mowing and edging on a regular cycle, string trimming, mulch laid into the beds, cleanups when the year turns over. Spring here is short and crowded: leaves that came down in November are still under the shrubs while the grass is already ahead of you. Working through all of it in order, bed by bed, is what makes a property look settled by Memorial Day. It goes on looking that way because somebody keeps coming back.
