D'Urso Landscaping, Inc runs those hours across Long Hill — plowing, shoveling walks and steps, salting, and staying after the ice that creeps back on a cold clear afternoon. When the ground thaws the same trucks carry mowers: cutting, trimming, edging, mulch, and the cleanups at either end of the season. A township of small village centers rewards a route known by heart, down to which driveway is steep and which walk goes slick first. Twelve months on, it is one promise in two forms — the way in and out kept open, and the yard kept in order.
