Baur Lawns

About Baur Lawns

Loch Arbour is one of the smallest towns in New Jersey, a few quiet blocks between the Atlantic and Deal Lake, where the morning comes up straight out of the ocean. Baur Lawns tends the grass here, where salt air rides in on every breeze and turf has to grow tough in sandy shore soil. On a summer morning, gulls wheeling over the beach and the lake flat as glass, a front lawn mowed clean makes the whole little street look ready for the day. Small towns notice the details — a trimmed border by the walk, a yard that stays neat right through August — and Baur Lawns keeps those details in hand. Between lake and sea, a well-kept lawn becomes a small green signature on the village.
