Above Little Falls the first Watchung ridge splits at Great Notch, and the road climbs through the gap with the whole valley opening behind it. Great Notch Yard keeps lawns on both sides of that grade — mowing, edging, hedge and shrub trimming, and the leaf work that closes out the year.
