October runs the maples along the long stone wall at Rosedale & Rosehill, and for a few weeks Linden throws down more leaf than lawn. Castello Lawn & Landscape LLC keeps a rhythm through it: the last cuts of the season, edges held tight, then leaves gathered off the grass and the beds before the first hard rain mats them into place. Fresh mulch goes down where the summer burned it thin, and the yard is closed out looking deliberate rather than abandoned. It is quiet work in cold air, hands stiff by noon, the smell of wet oak everywhere. Then come April the same lawns come back green and even, and the whole thing starts over.
