About Greens up Landscaping

The thaw arrives from the south here, off the wide marsh of the Great Piece Meadows, and for a week or two the whole borough smells like wet ground waking up. Greens up Landscaping starts right there, raking the matted winter grass loose, clearing the beds, putting mowers on lawns the day they are ready to take a cut. From then on it is a season of steady returns, even mowing, tight trimming, mulch worked in around the shrubs, seed dropped where the turf came through thin. Autumn closes it out with leaves hauled off and the grass taken down short for the cold. Green is not luck; it is a calendar kept.
