Lawn Buddies

About Lawn Buddies

There is a particular December morning in Lacey Township when the cul-de-sacs go silent, the buses do not come, and every driveway on the block needs opening at once. Lawn Buddies is out in it — plowing the drives, clearing the walks down to concrete, laying salt at the bottom of the steps where everybody slips. In the warm months the same neighborhoods get the mower: a straight cut, trimmed corners, edges tidied along the sidewalk, clippings swept off before the truck pulls away. The name says the spirit of it — a neighbor showing up for a yard rather than a stranger passing through. Nothing feels better than a street where every property is squared away and nobody had to spend their Saturday on it. Lawn care through the green season, snow work through the cold one.
