About Black Bear Tree Services

Pascack Brook threads Hillsdale under the road and behind the yards, and the trees that follow it are older than most of the houses. Black Bear Tree Services works the Pascack Valley — pruning a crown clear of a bedroom window, trimming so a maple stops dumping every October into one neighbor's gutters, removal when a trunk has gone soft at the base. The commuter platform is busy by six, and a crew that starts early has a driveway open before anyone needs it. When wind comes over the reservoir and takes a limb down across a fence line, storm damage cleanup puts the yard back together and the fence back in view. The whole job is measured by what the place looks like after the truck pulls away.
