Joe's Lawn Care

About Joe's Lawn Care

Down at Kingston the water still drops over the old mill dam and through the canal lock, a steady noise you can hear from the bridge on a September afternoon. Joe's Lawn Care works the neighborhoods above it around Heathcote, mowing, edging, string trimming and clearing yards at each turn of the season. Late-summer lawns in this valley come back to life once the nights cool, which makes September and October the finest weeks of the year to be out on them. Grass cut at the right height going into fall repays it all through the following spring. It is ordinary work, done well, on ordinary streets — and that is most of what makes a neighborhood look loved.
