About Downes Tree Service, Inc.

Goffle Brook runs the length of Hawthorne, and the hill above it holds the old maples that give the borough its summer shade. Downes Tree Service, Inc. works that ground — tree removal in the steep back yards climbing Goffle Hill, pruning that takes weight off a limb before the limb makes the decision itself. Trimming keeps the leaf line off Lafayette Avenue's rooflines and out of the gutters. When a fast cell comes down the Passaic valley and lays a maple across a driveway, storm damage cleanup means saws at first light and a clear path by breakfast. A yard put back right in Hawthorne looks like the tree simply grew that way.
