A truck, a trailer, and two people who know which back roads run out toward Elm and Nesco — that is the whole operation, and it is enough. Two brothers and a mower spends its summer Saturdays cutting grass, running the trimmer down fence lines, and blowing driveways clean before the gear goes back on the trailer. Winter changes the tools but not the arrangement: one on the plow opening the drive, one on the shovel taking the steps and the path to the door. Small outfits notice things — the gate that sticks, the low spot that stays wet for days after a storm blows up off the coast — and that noticing is half of doing the work well. Hammonton is a town of neighbors, and this is neighbor-scale work, done properly.
