About Joseph Steinert & Co

The hardest nights in Hamilton are not the snowiest ones — they are the ones that start at thirty-three degrees and fall, when everything from Whitehorse-Mercerville Road on down turns to glass by four in the morning. Joseph Steinert & Co plans for those: de-icing and salting ahead of the freeze, then plowing and shoveling once the accumulation actually arrives. Driveways get opened, walkways and steps get cleared and treated, and the ridge of plow spoil left across the end of the drive gets taken out too. It is cold, unglamorous work, done in the dark, mostly unseen. The payoff is a morning where the car backs out easily and nobody slips on the way to it.
