About Greenfield Contracting

Quakerbridge Road never quite sleeps, it only idles, and the properties along it have to be open when the doors unlock, storm or no storm. Greenfield Contracting works that window — the hours between midnight and the first shift, plowing lots, stacking snow where it won't block sightlines, opening entrances and walkways, salting the corners that glaze over first. Commercial pavement in Hamilton drifts oddly around the buildings, and knowing where it piles is half the job. Repeat passes through a long storm keep accumulation from ever getting ahead of the blade. By opening time the asphalt is bare and nobody has to give it a thought, which is the entire idea.
