About Lottery Landscape

South Jersey snow is a coin-flip, and everybody within twenty miles of the Delaware knows it — the same storm that buries Berlin can arrive as cold rain over the Broadmoor blocks. Lottery Landscape plays those odds for a living, watching the line wobble on the forecast and rolling out when it lands on white. The work is driveways opened, walks taken down to bare concrete, salt laid on the shaded spots that glaze over after dark. There is a particular quiet to a township at four in the morning during a storm: engine noise, headlights, and nothing else moving. Then the sun comes up on a street that works, and the day goes on like normal.
