By the middle of March the south branch of Big Timber Creek runs high and brown, and the lawns above it are still deciding whether to wake up. That turn — mud sliding into green — is when Green State Lanscaping & Lawn Service changes gear, putting the plow away and pulling the mowers out. The warm months are cutting, trimming and edging on a steady schedule; the cold ones are driveways, walkways and lots opened up when a coastal storm comes up the shore and drops wet, heavy South Jersey snow.
