Glen Rock is named for an actual rock, the glacial boulder sitting at the corner of Rock Road, dropped there by ice and never moved since. All Jones Landscaping LLC works the streets that run out from it, mowing, edging and hauling off the enormous October leaf-fall that a borough this heavily treed produces every year. The maples here are old and generous, which is lovely in August and a great deal of work in November. Come the first storm, the same trucks go out with plows, opening driveways and clearing walks down to concrete before the commute. A borough looks cared for in small ways: a clean edge at the curb, a path a person can walk without watching their feet.
