About GLA Contractors Inc

Out along Outwater Lane the buildings run long and low and brick, mill-town bones put to new use, and their parking aprons hold snow like a shallow pan. GLA Contractors Inc takes ground like that in winter — plowing wide, stacking the piles where they will not block a doorway or bury a fire lane, salting the paths that lead in from the lot. Storms blow up the Passaic valley overnight here and are usually spent by the time the first shift arrives, which means the clearing has to be done in the dark and done once. There is a particular satisfaction in an empty lot at dawn: black lanes, every curb showing, not a rut anywhere. Garfield gets to work on time, and that is the job.
