Out at Leeds Point the wind comes straight off Great Bay with nothing at all to slow it, and a nor'easter can pack a driveway solid before the sky has any light in it. Sno-B-Gone meets those mornings with the plow down — driveways opened, walks and steps taken to the surface, de-icer laid along the drift line that keeps refilling. Snow this close to the water lands wet and heavy, so it gets moved early and then moved again. By sunrise the marsh is white to the horizon and the pavement is not. Getting people out of their own homes on a rough Galloway morning is a good day's work by itself.
