There is a week in April when the hills above Frenchtown change all at once, the hedgerows going from grey to green almost between one day and the next, and the season starts for good. Trevor's Landscaping meets it there, with mowing, trimming, edging and the spring and fall cleanups that keep a property looking like somebody is paying attention to it. Summer here runs long and humid, the river holding heat late into September, and grass cut on a rhythm looks entirely different from grass cut when someone remembers. Then the year turns, and the same driveways that wanted a mower want a plow instead: snow pushed back, walks opened, salt down before morning. Working a town this size means seeing the same lawns through every version of themselves, which is a good way to care how they look.
