Late June in the borough, the light sits long on the water at Franklin Pond and every yard in town seems to be growing an inch a day. All American Landscapes, LLC keeps up with it — mowing, trimming, edging, and the spring and fall cleanups that bracket the whole green season. There is a particular satisfaction in the last pass of a mow, when the stripes line up and the edge along the walk turns sharp as a drawn line. Lawns between these ridges grow thick and fast, and they earn their keep in the weeks when neighbors sit out past dinner. Come October the same yards go gold, and the rakes and blowers come out to put them to bed.
