About Billy Goat Lawn Services

Out past the last cul-de-sac in Franklin Park, the old farm fields at Six Mile Run go tall and shaggy by the middle of July, and the line between kept and unkept is a sharp one. Billy Goat Lawn Services works the kept side — mowing, trimming, and cutting back the brushy edges where a property quietly gives ground every summer. Noon in Somerset County is hot in a heavy, still way, the kind that makes the shade of a hedgerow feel like a room. The crew keeps at it anyway, because a yard mowed even, with the trimmer run all the way around the shed and the fence posts, reads as looked-after from a hundred yards off. Fall cleanups and spring mulch bookend the year, and then the round begins again.
