In May the dooryards along Flemington's Main Street fill in quickly — narrow front lawns behind iron fences, shaded by the courthouse columns and a hundred Victorian porches. Sarah's Landscaping, LLC tends exactly that kind of ground: tight in-town lots wanting mowing, careful trimming around railings and roots, mulched beds and neat spring and fall cleanups. Close quarters is a skill of its own, mostly hand-work and patience where a big machine would only bruise things. Every pass is visible from the sidewalk, so every pass has to be right. A borough lawn is half a public thing, and keeping it sharp is a small gift to the street.
