Evesham keeps a piece of the Pine Barrens inside its own borders — Black Run, sand roads, pitch pine standing dark all winter. A & S Landscape Management works the streets and driveways around that wildness, and when a South Jersey storm turns wet and heavy the trucks go out to plow, shovel and salt until every approach is passable. Warm months bring the other half: mowing on a set week, close trimming, sharp bed edges, mulch. Sandy soil grows a particular kind of lawn, and knowing it is most of the job.
