Down where Elmwood Park meets the Passaic, sycamores stand in the flat green of the floodplain and the water slides south toward the Dundee Dam. Spring rain arrives hard through that low country, and the lawns wake up in a hurry. Lombardo Environmental works the year out from there: cleanups first, then mowing on schedule, edging, trimming, mulch laid in the beds, hedges and shrubs kept in shape, leaves cleared once the season turns. Ground that grows this eagerly needs somebody paying attention to it. The result is a yard that looks composed instead of overrun.
