About Echo Valley Landscaping

The land in Garfield tilts — up from the Passaic toward Belmont Hill — so half the lawns in town are worked on a grade, mower turned across the slope, feet set sideways in the wet grass. Echo Valley Landscaping takes those hillside yards through June, when the growth outruns everybody, cutting and trimming and carrying the clippings back down to the street. Evening light arrives late and lies long over the rooftops here, and a lawn finished at that hour looks like it has been combed. Cleanups open the season and close it, leaves off the terraces before the first hard frost pins them down. It is ordinary weekly work, and it makes a whole block look looked-after.
