Melnyk’s Tree Service

About Melnyk’s Tree Service

Elmer keeps farm hours: the corn along the Salem County side of Route 40 goes gold in August and the town stays quiet enough to hear a saw two streets over. Melnyk's Tree Service is a tree crew at home in that country — pruning the big yard maples and the hedgerow trees at the field edges, clearing dead limbs, opening a crown that's grown too dense for its own good. Removals are often the last chapter of something planted generations back, taken down in stages where a house or a barn stands close, and given room where there's room to give. When a line of storms crosses the flat, the broken wood gets cut out of lanes and lawns and trucked away. Elmer, Pittsgrove, Elk Township and the farms in between get their shade tended and their yards left tidy.
