A plow blade dropping to asphalt makes a sound you can hear two lots away at three in the morning. That is Lucho's Improvement Solutions LLC working the pavement near Route 130 and the Turnpike interchange while East Windsor is still dark — pushing lots clear, cutting lanes, opening the entrances first so nobody has to guess where the driveway went. Sidewalks get shoveled down to the surface and salted at the doors and curb cuts. Storms here rarely arrive on a convenient schedule, so the work simply follows them, however many passes it takes. At seven the cars roll in over clean blacktop, and the night behind it goes unmentioned.
