About Allegiance Lawn & Garden

Morning comes early to Ryders Lane, where the light slides low across lawns still holding the night's dew. Allegiance Lawn & Garden works these East Brunswick blocks the way the season asks — mowing when the grass runs high off the flat inner-coastal-plain soil, trimming close along fence lines and mailbox posts, edging until each walk has a clean dark seam beside it. Spring and fall bring the cleanups: the maples of the Raritan Valley let go all at once, and a yard that was ankle-deep on Friday is bare and breathing by Sunday. By the end of a route the mowers are still running straight, and the stripes point at the street like they were drawn there. Ordinary work, on ordinary streets that look better for it.
