SnowBusters

About SnowBusters

Before the Route 46 plazas open, before the first delivery truck, there is a long half hour when a lot is nothing but unbroken white and one set of headlights. SnowBusters spends it plowing: lanes cut open, piles pushed to corners where they will not block a sightline, walks shoveled, salt down at the doorways. Clifton storms often arrive overnight and expect the city to be ready by seven, and that expectation is the job description. Repeat passes continue as long as the snow does. Daylight comes up on black pavement and nobody driving in gives it a thought, which is the compliment.
