About Onorato Landscaping LLC

Half the houses in Cliffside Park meet the street with a flight of steps, and everything — the mower, the shovel, the bag of salt — goes up them by hand. Onorato Landscaping LLC has made peace with that. On a July evening, when the pavement finally gives back its heat, the crew is cutting and trimming the little rise of lawn above the wall; in February they are on those same steps at four in the morning, clearing them tread by tread so nobody comes down them sideways. The satisfaction is narrow and specific: a stairway bare to the stone, a driveway squared off, a strip of grass with a straight edge. Year-round lawn care and snow clearing in Cliffside Park and the boroughs along the cliff.
